Dalbello Krypton Il Moro Ski Boots- few questions any users?

Hey guys,

Im considering making a purchase of these boots, I really like how they feel from walking around, and just the overall fit of the boot is really good,  comming from a pair of stiff rossis, bandit b12s,  im wondering how these might compare.

I know they are more designed to be a park boot, witch im not much of a park rider,  I heard these do good in the steeps and pow as well i would just like to find out from anyone with experience, or to see if the salesman is just jerking my chain.

Thanks!

 Brian,

I have been in IL Moros for the past couple of seasons,  have both IL Moros and Pro's in my boot quiver. There is nothing that that makes this a "park boot" other than marketing. Personally, while I will venture into the park to hit a lump or two it is not where I ski. The Kryptons, by design are not a "stiff" boot in forward flex but are very still laterally, it will be tough to get an IL Moro to be as stiff as your Rossis but don't let that fool you, the boot still skis quite well. I sometimes refer to a Krypton series being a Mac and a traditional 4 buckle being a PC, they do 90% of the things the same, but it is teh other 10% that differs the with Krypton that makes it a better boot.

If you are happy with the fit and you can get a good balanced stance in the boot, go for it. The performance will be there, and yes you can carve in a Krypton too.

Thanks a lot for the reply Phil, it is what I kind of figured.  I am looking for something not as stiff, I was having some issues with my feet last year, and the more I read about these the better they start to sound.  I'm pretty sure the sales person just wanted to up sale me on something more traditional.  I really like the fit of these after having them on a couple times, and with there liner I only assume it will get better.  I just wanted to clarify before spending the money that these will have no issues with performance on the hill, witch I can now thank you for.

I havnt done too much looking around but I will have to track down a good boot fitter in this region.  I just moved here!   Lethbridge anyone?

edit:  I also have read that these do not need to be baked, over a couple times out I have seen that they conform to your foot,  is it worth it to bake them anyway?

If they have ituition ID silver's then yes they should be baked. I will let SIJ or Phil respond but mine were.  should have been covered in the sale (as long as it wasn't a close out)
