I've read a lot of threads about this topic and this is the set up I'm thinking of. I just want to throw it out there to see what everyone thinks.
I am 32 yrs. old, 6'1" and weigh 210. I ski 20+ days a year in Colorado and Wyoming. I am a pretty athletic and agressive skier with good carving technique. My quiver includes Volkl Tigershark 12 175 with the package Marker bindings and Blizzard Titan 8.2 185 with LOOK pivot 12 bindings mounted on the LOOK provided risers.
To replace/upgrade the Titans I've purchased Volkl Mantras 184 and LOOK px15 race bindings. I was thinking of mounting the bindings on a VIST riser either 10 or 12mm as the px15 appear to be a deck mounted set up.
I don't know too much about this stuff as I relied on my local shop owner and friend to steer me in the right direction. Right direction as in: "Put these on your feet and point them torwards the bottom and you'll get there eventually, I promise." He closed his shop a few years ago and went into another business. Living on the front range of Colorado I don't trust the cookie cutter ski shops' opinions. Probably some experienced staff there but no "bro and pro shops" in the area.
So does that sound like a good set up or am I a dumb ass?
