What would you compare the Black Diamond Verdicts to?

I've got the chance to pick up an AT setup from a friend with Black Diamond Verdicts.  I've never skied them, and have been hunting around for reviews on them.  It sounds like they're quite a bit stiffer than what I normally ski on (daily driver is watea 94's).  Can anyone who's skied them compare them to anything else?  Trying to figure out if it's a ski I'd like or not.  They're the newer wood core version, not the older foam version, for those of you who've been on them.

Thanks!

Any one have any feedback?  Even if you don't want to try to compare them to another pair of skis, any info from someone who's skied them would be great.

Ok, this is probably my last bump.  *Any* first hand info on the skis would be nice.  The guy who's selling them spent his first year in a long time on alpine gear last year after 12 years on tele, and doesn't have any basis of comparison for the skis.  He hasn't really been able to give me much info about them other than the fact that he liked them.  I've found some info about them, but not alot.

Anything at all would be great.  No one here has skied them?

Thanks!

Maybe you've already seen this but there's a bunch of reviews here, including some AT skiers: http://www.telemarktalk.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=16710&highlight=verdict*

Okay, mini-review:.  I had the 1st generation wood-core Verdicts (07-08?), mounted with tele bindings.  They were overall kind of stiff, but especially in the tail.  They railed on groomers, though the tip chattered a bit at very high speeds on firm snow.  Still they seemed happiest going fast.  The stiff tails pretty much kicked my ass in the bumps.  They were a ski that rewarded attention and punished inattention.  I liked them best in crud and powder and when I stayed out of the moguls.

I sold them because ultimately I like a softer ski.

Thanks for the feedback guys.  I decided to pass on the skis.  From the info I could find here and elsewhere, I'm not sure it's the kind of ski I really like, and I don't want to drop the $ on the setup blindly.  I ended up scoring HarkinBanks' used Dukes instead.  I think I'll use those on my watea's to start my foray into the BC, for now.

Thanks!
