Which length of Salomon Lord is right for me?

Hey Everybody!

Ski season is fast approaching, and I've decided that the Salomon Lords are the skis for me.

I'm 18, about 5'7 and weigh around 170. I'll be using them out west (Vail) and they'll be for a combination of off piste powder/crud (60%) etc and family groomer time (40%).

I'm torn between the 161 and the 169. I'm feeling the 169 for the growing room (the dr's said I'm done though) and also because of the shorter running surface of the twin tip.

How much shorter does the rocker make the 169? I'm an advanced skier (not expert) I learnt to ski in Vail as a youngling.

PS Any runs in Beaver Creek I should check out? I've been to Vail for about 15 christmases, and I've never skied Beaver!

Thanks!

I would say the 169 for sure or maybe even the 177.   I'm 5'11", 200 lbs and ski the 185 and it's not close to being too long.  There's not much of a rocker at all but the twin tip does shorten the running length compared to a non twin tip ski.

I am 5'10" at 165. I am skiing the 186. I only have three days on it in about boot deep powder. So far I love it. Today I really let them run and they were stable as could be in tracked out powder.

No one cares that you tele.

I wouldn't go shorter than the 169.  Probably the 177.
