Quiz of the day: What ski boot is this?

It's taken from an EasyJet advert (their colour is orange), so the boot is most likely re-painted. But can anyone identify this boot?

(if you can back your answer up with a photo, even better!

 It reminds me of a salomon boot from the late 80's.....Hmmm?

If I only get one guess, I'd say Nordica from the grill like cutouts over the instep.

Raichle's  ??????  Because of the cut-out grills on the instep!

Looks like a Hansen, the original rear entry boot in the early 70s,  to me.

It is a Nordica Rental boot, circa 1984-85. I can't remember the designation ID, but it was out when I was working for Nordica back on the West Coast.

Some of those are still around in New Mexico.

 I'm surprised more retro memories guys haven't jumped on this one.

+1 Hansen fo sho.  Now if they had used a photo of an Olin ski boot, that might stump a few folks.

... that small gray fore foot adjustment (that was useless BTW) is all Nordica.  IIRC Hanson never had any such forefoot adjustment, and Raichle's used a flat tab screw adjustment on the top center of the foot - not to the outside as that one is placed.

I worked in a ski/rental shop around the same period Vail SP was working for Nordica, and must have put thousands of those on many stinky feet.

You'd think the model ID would be etched into my brain, but I can't remember it! (is it possible that it didn't have anything other than Nordica written on it?)

It is some sort of Nordica.  I have no idea what model.

The forefoot adjustment doesn't look like a Nordica, I could be wrong and Nordica didn't do 2 buckles int eh back too often. Dolomite? Heirling? Tecnica? I need a bigger picture. 

That looks like the limited edition Nordica "Orange Crush" N-70 made for Denver Broncos fans in the 80s.  They probably removed the Broncos logo and Nordica stickers using Gum-Out.  You can still see some of them prominently displayed in sports bars throughout Colorado often with John Elway's signature.

This is hurting my brain ... I know I've dealt with that boot in the past either as a rental, or selling it. 

It's definitely not a Salomon - they for the most part used wire bails, and had the patent for the cable under the upper cuff pivot point with the 'vertical' rear buckle.  They're forefoot adjustment was also different.

It looks like a Nordica to me.  Most Nordica's did only have one buckle in the rear paired with some other turning-type cable tensioner gizmo ... but I believe their cheap rental-fleet boots used two buckles instead of the 'gizmo'.

The key clue here has to be the forefoot adjustment.  I remember the feel of it in my hand, useless, but I can't remember what the boot was!

I'm thinking Nordica 617 or thereabouts.    My first instinct was 'Dynafit', from before Raichle bought them.

Hummmm... not Hanson, or the foam liner would be black..unless they colored it gray to throw us off the scent.
