I've got some skis to mount, and wonder what the bears would do with the bindings I have available...
SKIS:
186 PMGear Lhasa Pow (140-112-122)
177 Salomon Lord (128-87-115)
176 Volkl Ledge (111-84-111)
BINDINGS:
Look P12
Salomon 900s (914)
Atomic 614
So I know that the atomics are far from the most popular bindings around here, but I've got them sitting in the basement so I'd like to try and use them if I can. I was thinking they might be a good fit for the Ledges because they offer some adjustability on mounting point. I'm not a big park guy and these would pretty much be a quiver ski for when I do mess around there, but I thought it would be nice to have the option of moving from center to a bit farther back. I definitely want to be able to ride them center, as they are symmetrical and I think that might be fun. Like I said, they will be a quiver park ski for a non-park skier. I got 'em for free, and figure I'll be able to have some fun spinning around on them.
If not the 614's, I'd probably put the P12's on the ledges and just center mount them. I was thinking the 914's would be good on the Lhasa's, since the brakes will be an easy bend and the DIN's a bit higher. (I ski from about 8 to 10 depending) but then I'd use the 614's for the Lord's? Maybe this is the best way to go.
Another option is I could put the P12's on the Ledges and the 914's on the Lord's and then try to find something else for the Lhasa's, but my budget is pretty tight right now so whatever that something is it would have to be cheap! (Just picked up the 914's from fleabay for under $50!) I know I could get some new (old) FKS 155's for just over 2 bills and that would be ideal... but I just don't have the cash right now.
What would you do??
also... the 914's have yellow riser plates so if you are recommending them for something, with plates or without??
