Hotronics Boot Warmers - Denver !

I am interested in buying some *Hotronics Boot Warmers* and would like to know who in Denver CO sells and fits them ? Has anyone had any experience with *Colorado Ski & Golf *  in Aurora ? I see they may have some. But I would like somebody who does these fittings all the time and will not stuff me around. I am only in Denver for 2 days in January 2010 on my way to the snow ! Hope somebody can help my on this forum !

CO Ski and Golf is a relatively large local chain. The Aurora store is their biggest.  If they sell them I'm sure they've installed them many times.

Co Ski and Golf has a good reputation. Hotronics are also available slopeside at most better resort shops including all the Surefoot Locations. BTW they really do help keep your boot warm very well.

Christy Sports sells them.  They have stores in the Denver area and at Frisco, Breckenridge, Dillon, Copper Mountain and Keystone.  www.christysports.com for a complete list. 

I have them.  They help but are not a miracle.  If your feet get cold they won't warm them up so you should turn them on first thing in the morning.  If you have left your boots in the trunk of your car overnight, forget it.

 Hotronics do work well if installed properly.  I had a well known bootfitter install a set for me improperly.  He insisted on mounting the heating element under the (great) custom footbed he built for me.  It didn't seem right to me, but he insisted that was how it had to be.  I finally had to get new elements and installed them myself on top of the beds.  Now they work great.  

It's easy.  Buy a few extra elements and install them in all your ski boots and use one set of batteries.

Why get them in Denver? These usually sell for MSRP and most shops include installation.  I would get them at a good shop,  at the mountain you are going to be skiing at the most.

Thanks guys for all your replies.  I am in Denver for 2 days of shopping before I hit the snow slopes in Vail 7 nights / Aspen 14 nights. Would like to get the boots fitted out in Denver first, so to not wasted any time for skiing !  Also I hope they maybe a little cheaper ! They *CO Ski & Golf* quoted me -  $ 199 > $229   I believe this is fitted !  I hope so anyway. Just want the job done right the first time around ! If need be I can go to the other shops in Vail or Aspen if I have any trouble with them. 

I know they don't heat up the boot. My friend had his boots done last year, and they worked great.

 If they are installed right, you won't need to run them very hot.  Setting 1 and 2 are all I use most of the time.  You don't want your foot to sweat.  I think that if it "feels warm" it's on too high.  Ideally the element should provide enough so that the foot doesn't "feel cold".  I ski almost 100 days a year and use them every day and in all my boots.

Very true TPJ.
  I only set mine on 1 now and only when on the lift rides.  When I first got them I waited till my feet got a little cold and turned them on for a run and burned the snot out of one of my feet right where the element is. Never really felt it happening either.
