Are these good ski boots for an intermediate skiier?

Hey again, as I told you guys a week or so ago, I'm looking into buying some skis and boots. I found some boots on Craigslist for $50 that were used once and apparently the brand new price is $200. They are a Salomon brand ski boot but he never mentioned the specific type. Would these be good boots for me? I want to do half park half slopes. Thanks for the help!

Every person's feet are different... Salomon makes some very good boots but they have to fit you to be 'good' for you. That boot in the picture looks like a low level recreational boot, which means shaped like a big empty bucket- the liner will be thick and fluffy for a little while. the fit is all achieved by the liner. the liner will quickly pack-out and the boot will be, well, a bucket.

It's cheap, that's nice.

It may feel fine for you and it may ski well enough for an improving intermediate skier. So it might be fine. As I said, everyone's feet are unique so it's hard to say if that boot will be 'good' for you. Are your feet shaped like a bucket?

the best boots are red boots.   THis boot is clearly NOT red, so will not be a good boot.

Luke, if you didn't get the message from Whiteroom, save your $$ buying used boots and go to a good boot fitter and get something that's right for your feet.  You are better off renting boots than buying used from CL.  I buy and sell lots of gear on CL, but not boots...unless you are my kids who go through 2 pairs per year and all they get are used

A $200 boot is kayrap. A $200 boot @ 75% off is cheap kayrap. If that sounds good to you go for it. At that price who cares if it's is really the right size let alone the right shape.

Cheap boots.....yippeeee!

 Thanks for the advice guys, I will not be getting the boots. :) I think I'll look for some used ones at a ski shop so I can talk to an expert and physically try them on like you said.
