Ratchet buckles and ladder straps on ski boots?

I saw that Dalbello came out with a ratcheting buckle and strap system for their boots.

Just wondering if ladder straps would be strong enough to put on all 4 buckles of a ski boot..

My plan is to put these ratcheting buckles in replacement of the factory buckles

With these ladder straps on the top two

And these shorter ladder straps on the bottom two

Yes....No?

Please give any input or ideas.

Thanks,
Theo

yes it will work, but why go to all that trouble, and expense in the first place.   What comes with the boot usually works just fine,,,,

1.)  Good, you will need a lot of these

2.)  Also good, you will spend a lot of time fixing these

3.)  Yes.  Expensive snowboard ratchets break frequently.  Cheap parts even more so.  Especially in the cold.  But if you do want to do this, make sure you carry a bag of screws and t-nuts, and several ratchet straps in your pack every day.  And check you screws every morning.

I like metal buckles myself.  Harder to break.
