Head i.xrc 800's vs. Atomic M-11 B5's

Time for new skis! I am an advanced intermediate skiier with sound fundamentals. I generally ski pretty up tempo. Due to my location I ski mostly groomed hard-pack as well as heavy New England snow on the blacks. I've looked into a bunch of all mountain skis and found good reviews on a couple that looked good for me. I'm looking at the Head i.xrc 800's or the Atomic m-11 B5's.  Control, durability and versatility are important factors. Can you guys give me some tips or advice to help?

Not sure about your length requirement but if you want a classic midfat here are a solid pair for sale.

Nordica Hot Rod Modified; 178; near new; integrated marker binding

I think the modified will be more versatile than the heads and more durable than the M11b5.

I ski 170's.  Both models are new condition w/ bindings at around $230 shipped.  If anyone can beat 'em or suggest viable alternatives I'm open to suggestions.

Fro NE hardpack, commonly known as ice in other part of the country, the atomic M11B5 is probably a better choice. Way better grip on ice - eh, I mean hardpack. The M11B5 is bullet proof. The Nordica modified is a nice ski also - much damper. The Head @ 68 underfoot is good on hardpack but not as versatile as the M11.
