Is anyone familiar with the Marker 21" rolling boot bag?  I know that the dimensions, 22x11x11 comply with the carry on standards of airlines (at least the ones I usually fly), but I am concerned on how much gear it can really handle.  I am interested in getting boots, helmet, googles, gloves, shell pants/jacket, and a days worth of ski clothes.  The remainder of my gear/travel clothes will get stuffed in my ski bag (thinking about getting a rolling one of those too).

Here is a link to the bag.  I have found it on several website for $80 shipped.

And before I get flamed as a second time poster, I did search and found information on lots of bags but not many on carry-on roller bags and none specifically on this bag.

Looks like it could pack what you listed, depending on exactly what you are packing. You could always wear your helmet, it usually guarantees that you get the whole to yourself.

That looks like a nice bag.  I have used standard carry on rollers for my boots a few times and I can fit everything I need in them.  I tend to prefer the backpack type, even though they can be fairly heavy.  I find I don't like both arms being occupied, pulling skis and a carry on roller.
I also find rollers a bitch in snow covered parking lots.

I always check my helmet, because it's not mandatory for me to ski. I carry on a thin hat and my jacket, which I wear,  has a hood.

Shreadhead,

After reading your post and others posts on these forums, I figured a regular roller board type bag plus a personal item will be sufficient.  Helmet and the rest goes in my ski bag and I save $ by not purchasing a new bag.  I checked my airline and a personal item can be 36 linear inches so a normal sized backpack works as the other carry on.

Thanks!

Just be aware that a ski bag is only supposed to have skis and poles not clothing.  I've never seen it enforced.

Whee!
