Just bought a pair '09 Volkl Mantra Skis with Marker Griffon Bindings

... and I just wanted to thank you all for help.  Without this site, I wouldn't have been as sure about my decision.

I'm 6'5'' 205 and bought a pair of 191s to ski Mammoth and Tahoe.

Fine choice.  I'm a little shorter than you, and only slightly lighter, and I've tried both the 191s and 184s.  The 191s are (IMHO) a much better ski overall.

Bought them for $600 binding included.  I can't remember the website off the top of my head.

I'm on '08 Mantra with Griffin bindings and love them!  $600 for the everything is a great price.

Question "ADay2Remember", why do you prefer the B2 or 3 to the Volkl?  I realize that a review is all personal preference so I don't want to argue your choice but I found the Volkl to be much snappier than the B2-3.  I use to love Rossi's, but when they moved from the Bandit line to the "B" line, they seemed to ski dead to me. 

I'm guessing that snappiness isn't one of his priorities.

Regardless, the B4 is at least arguably comparable to the Mantra.  The B2 and B3 are just in a completely different segment.

I'm 5'10"  165lbs and ski super aggressive. Grew up Skiing the White Mountains of NH. Raced at a young age, stopped for a few years then picked it up again in high school. I am now 23 and will be skiing mostly at Vail and occasionally at A Basin, Keystone, Breck. Just curious as to whether you guys prefer a longer mantra to a shorter. I ski hard and I ski fast with an East Coast Style. I ski everything on the mountain.
