ok so im at a standstill. im looking for a new pair of all mountains and i cant decide. so perhaps you guys can help. feel free to through out any models that fit the description

im looking for an all mountain twin tip that can handle my style. im coming from Elan's pro MO2 but am very unhappy with them because they dont handle the speed and pressure i put on them. i love to hit the groomers as hard as i can and want as little chatter as possible, but (here comes the twist) ill go and spend a full day in the BC and need something that has the flexibility and response to handle the trees and cliffs.

soo ive been looking at the ARVs, the obSETHeds, some of the volkls to name a few

i wish i had gotten a pair of the PEs before k2 stopped with them because i feel they would have been perfect

please, help me out. the snows starting to fall and i need gear!

The K2 Extreme, both last year and with altered graphics this year ARE the old PE's. You could get last years leftovers for around $200 if you can find them in the size you need.

Here's this seasons

Honestly I don't think that you are on the right track.  The Extreme( ie.PE) is not what I would be suggesting you to be checking out, especially if you don't want something that chatters at higher speeds.  The other two skis that you mention are both very good skis with a specific purpose in mind.  The ARV is a relatively soft ski and IMO if you are an agressive skier you may find that it will not provide you with enough performance.  Out of all of the skis that you are checking out the obSethed is the best fit, although for some this may be considered a bit wide for an everyday ski.

If you do want a ski that provides you with good crud, powder, BC and on trail performance you should really be checking out a couple different skis.  For one the LINE Prophet 100 would be close to the top of my list.  It is 100mm under foot which provides you with a great starting point as an everyday ski for the conditions that you had mentioned.  You will be able to the Prophet in a wide range of speeds while be more then comfortable in the ski that you are on.

Another great ski that you should be checking out is the Dynastar Big Trouble, which you can still find this time of year at a great price.  The Big Trouble is a bit more of what I would consider a freeride flex, being that the tip of this ski is as stiff as some of the stiffest skis on the market. Ultimately this makes it so that you will have the ability to punch through some very broken conditions or rail turns confidently.

Check it out,
