The FD toe offers lateral, and true mechanically controlled upward release. It also offers a slightly theoretical 180* roll release capability. (Note that I say theoretical because it does require a slight rearward movement of the boot sole in order for the lateral cams to disengage)

FWIW all other current multidirection toes require the boot to move rearward for an upward release while the look does not. Also none of the others offer the 180* roll out.

Look has two models, each with two brakes, Rossi has the same.............This is confusing???

Marker Royals series = six models, each with three brakes, some with two sizes.....And this is clear???

 You guys sure they have zero delta? Both if them? I'd expect the 14 to have 2mm more delta than the 18.

Yeah I get all that.....but why you do think this is a reason to fight?? This is probably just two different sets of information. No big deal.

Would love a final and agreed upon answer on the Dynastar question though.  I'm going to be buying a pair of these soon, and want to know if I'll have 2 color choices... or 3.

I bought a brake, 100mm, Look NX/PX and it fits nothing I have (Pivot and Dynastar Race 14). Can I get a 100 for the Race 14? anyone want to trade for my Race 14's 115mm brake or  pick up the NXPX that won't fit it for a few bucks?

The p18 is more nimble & lighter.  We had to have custom Vist plates made due to the short mounting zone & my wifes 266mm boots.  p18s also tended to crack, blow up the forward pressure piece, yet are fully serviceable.  MFX has a greater adjustment & is easier to deal with.  Both solid clamps.  MFX is way heavy.

The elastic travel of the heel dominates the whole market... as does the pivot release. Racers who need a true bend underfoot will still use plate bindings. 


Kind of agree. But my 130 waisted skis wouldn't really benefit with this binding more than a Duke or an STH 16... my versions of perfect fat pow bindings... neither of which are preferred in the BM scene where 90% of riders are on 115 waisted skis.

Let us not forget the 57 and 17 models. Specially the heel clip for the 17 roller.

I didn't forget....just trying to show the more recent history. The plastic piece used with leather boots was quickly forgotten once the plastic boot revolution started and made it obsolete.The earliest n17's had two rollers in the heel piece.
