Finally going to upgrade from my 2000 XScreams...I am 5'11" 235, fairly aggresive expert, been skiing for 40 years or so..knees hanging in there..looking at the three mentioned skiis...I ski in the east, 2 weeks in Vermont, otherwise it's Virginia/Maryland/Penn, so limited pow skiing....Looking to get fatter than I am (ski) and have some fun....anyone have some advice as to what would be the best choice? length?

I found some new B5i 2008/9's at a shop and the others online...

Looking at 172-177

Any help greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!

I am 6' 185 lbs and have been skiing the B5 in a 162 length.   At your weight I would opt for the 172.   I recently just purchased the Contact 4x4 in a 172 length.   I had a tough time choosing between the 172 and 178 but at your weight I would go with the 178.
I believe the Contact 4x4 will be a more versatile ski but I definitely enjoyed the B5.   The B5 is a great carver and definitely likes to be on edge.  Since I have not skiied the Contact 4x4 yet I can't give an opinion on which one is better.   I did a fair amount of research and the 4x4 had alot of great reviews.   I also ski primarily in the East (SW PA) so a ski capable of handling ice was a top priority.
Good luck with your choice.

Thanks much for the response...My brother in law swears by the B5s...I found a new set of last years by chance and I really don't know which to get...also heard the Volkl AC30 is a great ski...am hoping to get some more feedback from some 4x4 or fury owners...I've got to make up my mind quickly...prob by next week...happy trails this year!!! I do get out to Whitetail in PA...that's probably east for you though!! Where do you ski most?

Thanks again!!!!
