Volkl Racetiger SL - 155 (Race Stock)

'06 model, but used very infrequently.  In good shape...  lots of life left.  These were my wife's skis, and I think she only used them for the occasional slalom race that's open to adults..  Not many in our area.

155cm.  No bindings, but the Marker World Cup Piston Plate is included.

$200.00

Here is a shot of the base...  there are surface scratches here and there, but for the most part this is pretty representative of the condition of the base.

This is the only scratch worth mentioning.  As you can see, its pretty small.  The edge is not damaged except where it meets the base...  the "sharp part" is burr free.

I have the same ski in a 160cm 08' model, but probably pretty similar.  If fat rockered skis are like a Mercedes in powder, these things are like a formula one race car on ice or in a SL course!  Probably the best, most fun skis I have ever owned, & UP Racer isn't paying me to say that.  For $200 w/plate they are a steal.

IMHO, $200 is a bit steep for skis that are 4 years old...

So I heard you like Mudkips...

Well, make me an offer, then.  You're a ski collector.

IMHO---you have no standing to make that comment.

If you think that the case ---- make UP an offer----otherwise you just look bad, real bad posting this.

No big deal....   My thought process was that the plates are fairly valuable.  Definitely $75+ on Ebay.  The skis aren't current year, but they haven't changed much since then.  These are nearly perfect condition still...

Whatever...  I'm open to offers.  I'm certainly not going to let them sit in my basement for the winter...  they aren't gaining value.

Someone make an offer....

< Are you not trying to fetch $200 on eBay for used volkls? Right now volkls are rather sought after ; the market will speak on the pricing.

I just might.

As I recall, you skied the SL 11 awhile back---can you compare these to the SL 11 of about the same vintage??

I had some and would like to replace them with something at least similar if not better!

The plates are worth quite a bit, you might want to just sell those separately on eBay. You could easily get $75 if not more, as long as you note that they are still stack legal on every "flat" race ski (Blizzard, Nordica, Volkl), aside from some of the Volkl GS skis and the Volkl speed skis. They usually measure out to be 50mm flat, or a few under. I recall a pair of 08 Racetigers that I had (my first pair) that used the same plate and they were 50mm on the spot...

They are pretty similar...  both good.  I guess I would characterize the Volkl as lighter (not necessarily lighter to pick up...  they feel like they "ski lighter"), snappier and more energy than the SL11.  The SL 11 is more damp.

I have a set of these same skis in 148 cm that I am about to list here. Mine have the raceplate and the original Marker M10 bindings. Used two seasons. Bottoms not as pristine as UP racers, but not bad at all. nothing a good tune wouldn't fix, edges are excellent.
$150 if you pick up. Barntable mass is home, we ski VT if delivery up there is helpful. pm me with any questions.

In the interest of clarity, I believe the 148cm w/M10 is a junior ski and binding, not the same ski as the OP. Not saying its a bad ski or judging the deal, just saying the OP ski is an adult ski and the 148 is a JR ski, two different animals.

Aren't you a little young to build a time machine?

Why yes, yes we are.
