K2 Apache Raiders

I just bought some 163 cm K2 Apache Raiders (I'm 163 cm tall too and 14 years old). You can get an idea of my skiing level with the video at the end of my TR from April in Val D'Isere:

These are the first skis I've bought. The guy at the ski shop told me as an advanced skier to buy these skis. I've been skiing on some crap too tiny for me rental Rossignol Rivals last year so I've been told there'll be an improvement in my skiing. So was it a good decision to buy these skis or not?

The Raider is one of the best values out there, it is a Recon with one less layer of metal. It has a huge sweet spot and one of the easiest skis out there to ski. Enjoy them.

Since we're on the topic, what about the Apache Outlaw, any view Phil? Got a line on a pair real cheap. Not that I need them, but you know...

They are Apaches, so they will have that family feel. I liken these skis to Toyota's, they do everything well but they do not have a ton of personality. They like to be ridden, if you like something to be "driven", try a Volkl or Blizzard. Not that either feel is bad, just what you prefer.

So worth 200 euros, I'd guess.

Definitely worth $293, whether they include the bindings or not.

There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad equipment.
