I'm about as bad as I always am. There's constantly ski porn in my DVD player and in the DVD drive on my laptop, I've been wearing my boots around the house, and I just finished making my last round of purchases for the new season (Anon Figments and a roof rack for my gf's Subaru) . My skis keep their summer coat on until a week before I ski, but I'm itching to get to it. I have one more boat trip planned in two weeks, then it's time to kick it into high gear... The kayak racks will come off the cars and the ski racks will go on, the boats will go to the back of the basement, and all my skiing softgoods will come out of the storage tubs, to be replaced by the boating equipment. I'm totally ready.

OMGWTFBBQ! Snow is predicted next week. Freezing levels at 4000'! Muir might have some fresh by next weekend!

(Of course this presumes I can drag my worthless, VO2-challenged arse up the snowfield)

Yes, we're looking to get 5-6 days of snow down to 3500'-4000' at this point. Hopefully, I can move it up to once weekly from now until the lifts run. At this rate I won't have time to watch any ski movies.

You could try Whistler. That's probably the closest one.

I have my boot warming heater atttached to boots and running, skis(waxed, sharpened, polished and licked clean) are locked in the trunk with ski bag packed with coat, pants, socks, gloves, helmet, goggles, trail bars, poles and water bottles. And I quit releashing any CO2 so it can get colder.

I'm about as bad as usual... planning ski holidays, putting the ski rack on the car, etc. Driving up to Whistler last weekend and actually seeing snow on the mountains got me pretty excited, which isn't helping matters ;-)

Like some others here I added a new pair of skis (165cm Volkl Racetiger SL's) to my quiver for this year and am getting anxious to try them out.

Even though an El Nino winter is predicted for the PNW, I am going to be optimistic and expect an epic season!

I've been to the ski shop twice in the last 3 days. I got bindings on a new pair of ski's and finally bought my first pair of boots along with a new helmet and a pair of Smith prodigy's... After spending over 1000 dollars between my father and I... I can't wait any longer and our local mountain doesn't usually open till after Thanksgiving.

I've stared and pouted at the local ski shop's closed sign all summer long. Went by last weekend and it said open!
I imediatley flew inside and picked up some new socks, hat for the kiddo, and let him try on new boots. superstoke!

I've been visiting the local ski/sporting goods shops since the beginning of September, anxiously awaiting their transition to winter sports stock. This weekend it finally happened, and I grabbed a new pair of pants... and of course once I got home I had to try on the new pants with the rest of my ski gear, although I did stop short of including the boots and skis ;-)

I just started thinking about skiing this past week when it starting getting a little nippy here. With all my summer activities, I usually completely forget about skiing between April and September. I really don't start Jones'n until around Thanskgiving -- then I start thinking about skiing most of the time. By early December, I need a fix. By Late February, it starts to abate and by April, I have had enough and move onto cycling, hiking,camping and other stuff. I am gald there are seasons. I think I wouldn't be as excited about skiing and might even get bored if it was a year-around activity for me.

I still havent been down to the ski shops yet. Im afraid if I go down there Im going to max out my credit cards, haha.

On a side note, I love it when the UPS guy drops off skis at my front door.

It's spread to my 5 year old boy for sure. He spent 3 hours yesterday stomping arround in gloves, helment, goggles and skiboots. LOL
He has asked if we're going Sunday about every 2 hours since.
