I am interested in a pair of Salomon Falcon S-labs because the preious line it replaced fit me very well, best boot ever. The only thing I'm hesitant about is the 100 fllex rating listed for it. I have been using VERY old Salomon Equipes, the line the Falcon replaced a few years ago. I know the new Falcon is a plug boot so I have my grinder ready to go. Just curious what peolple have to say about the flex of the S-Lab.

your older equipes are similar to the Xwave that was a 100mm or 102mm last?  the impact the salomons current boot that is most similar at 100mm, the falcon is a 98mm, and the labs are 95 usually.
Also the lab boots are usually 120-150 flex.

So.....  if you liked the equipes, and the labs are 95mm and 120-150 flex, I think you have some work ahead of you to make your feet happy.

why not try on the impact with your local boot fitter (in one size smaller then your equipes) and see how that fits?   Also odds are they have some other good ideas for you to try too.

Yeah, what mntlion said, he's pretty good at all this boot schtuff.  Impacts are looking more up your alley.  Probably the Impact Pro at 120 flex.
