What's on your list? - aka - What are you planning to buy for this season??

The recent purchase thread has inspired me to create this one.  What's on your list of must-buy's for this season?  This isn't meant to be a "What gear would you want if you could buy anything" thing, just "What gear do you actually  plan on buying before or during the 09-10 season" thing.

As for me, here's my list:

BOOTS I haven't been to the fitters for a recon yet so I'm not sure what, but my '06 Technica Magnesiums are dead, so...
14-18 DIN Look/Dyna/Rossi bindings for the 186 PMGear Lhasa Pow's, potentially some new generation turntables

12-14 DIN Look/Dyna/Rossi bindings for the 177 Salomon Lord's, depending on what's on sale when I have the cash...

Marker Griffons or similar for my 170 Karhu Jak Team Editions

New Pants.  I'm not sure what yet, but I've been thinking BRIGHT.  leaning toward green or blue right now...

New Mittens.  These were on the list last year too, but it never happened.  Lost one of my BD's a couple seasons ago.

New Jacket.  At the bottom of the list for good reason.  Don't really need it, can't really afford it, but I'd love to get one!!

Gas
Lift tickets
Lessons for the kid(s?)
More gas
More lift tickets
Maybe some lodge food?

I kinda need new gloves.  Maybe I'll ask Santa Claus for those.

Smell that?  Winter's coming!

Well.... season tickets for me and the boy. And his training fees. And possibly new boots - tempted to hunt down and try some Super Blasters.

Well, I'm mostly done with my hardware shopping for the season, just working on the last element, which is a ski rack for my girlfriend's '08 Impreza.

Soft goods, on the other hand, I'm looking at a full overhaul. New pants are an absolute must, and I should probably start looking at a new civilian jacket. I'm pretty sure my ski school is getting new uniform jackets this year, so that means I'll have to buy a new one of those, too. I'm also probably going to need a new pair of goggles. My current goggles are 5 years old, and the lenses are still pristine, but the strap is starting to wear out. Hmmm... probably going to be looking at buying a new pair of spring gloves, too. Other than that, just the normal socks and base layers.

I'd like to get new boots and have them fitted properly...I'm still using my Sports Authority super spring discount Langes from 3-4 years ago. I've heard good things about Paul Richelson in Plymouth, NH, close to my home hill.
My daughter claims that her boots from last season still fit, but I'm expecting her to say that her feet are cold on our first day out and that we'll be shopping for her, too.

She got new skis last spring, but I'm thinking about a new pair for myself if the finances look good by winter...Blizzards are intriguing me right now.

For ski shoppers out there, I found this list of questionable items and brands...

More mole skin for my shins, or new boots or liner.

A new pair of all mt. skis.  Am a terrible impulse shopper for skis;  i.e. FISH.  None have said they want to go home with me yet, need to commune with some Icelantic Nomads.

Growing old is mandatory.  Growing up is optional.

I think I have everything I need.  I am hoping to score a good pair of used boots at the ski swap this year.  Best would be a pair of Nordica speedmachine 14s.  I plan on throwing out the liner and using the shell with a new Intuition liner and an old footbed.  Should be perfect for The King.

1. Wife broke her AT bindings skiing them inbounds too much last season. New bindings for Her. PX12 or the like.
2. Lift Tickets. ALready have my season pass $299 for the Beav. Plan on visiting Snowbasin a few times this winter as well as some time in PC / SLC. And maybe Jackson / targhee as well.

My wife and I re-outfitted ourselves at the end of last season with new skis, our first helmets, and new jackets, pants, gloves, and mid-layer Spyder gear, all at great prices.  The only holdovers at this point are our long underwear and socks, our carbon-fiber Leki Venom poles (which I hope last until I die), and our 10-year old boots.  With boots at the top of the list, I'm looking at either the Nordica HR Pro 125, the Speedmachine 130, or the Speedmachine 120.  I have yet to try on anything though.  I've only had three pairs of boots in my 30 years of skiing and they've all been Nordica, which seem to fit my feet perfectly.

The only thing l really need are some goggles, the lens on last years broke by a ski pole to the face and they aren't worth replacing the lens, right now l have some really scratched up yard sale Dragon's. Probably going to try to get some $30-$90 goggles this year (something decent). Maybe l can pick up some decent snow-pants at the ski swap. So the final list come down to this:

Need:
Goggles

Want badly:
powder ski (Shogun, Prophet 100, Gotama, S7, JJ, or something of the like)
snow-pants

Want not so badly:
Shell

I've got two pair coming as I type. I REALLY like the new Blizzard MAX system. So I have now filled in two gaps in my existing modern quiver.

Blizzard Magnum 8.1 IQ MAX, 179cm, 123-81-108, 18m TR, FKS 155 on MAX Slider

Blizzard Titan Atlas IQ MAX, 180cm, 130-94-116, 20m TR, PX 15 on MAX Slider

I still need a frontside ski in between my Rossi WC SL's and my NS 102's. Past that, I am set.

I just watched the video and it is a nice system. Now all we need is someone to create this system without the ski. Mount rails on all your skis, get as many sliders as you have binding options then mix and match binding to ski to conditions to activity.

What's an NS 102? All these acronyms and abbreviations are hard to keep up with.

A 102 waisted ski, it was a prototype made by NeverSummer for Hart.

Geez, I better not buy any more gear. Probably will though.

Thinking about:

A backup shovel
Adjustable carbon poles, possibly with probe

I'd maybe pull trigger on Gore Tex and/or soft shell pants at right price point

I really shouldn't:

Maybe some GS skis

And of course:

Gloves. I need a backup for my backup pair.

Control. Freedom is control.

So what are we talking about here? is that a prototype/cobbled together rig or something that is on the market?

You'll have to excuse me for not recognizing the technology/parts. I avoid shops like the plague. I can't even afford to drool over stuff there.

Never mind. I found your thread http://www.epicski.com/forum/thread/87001/blizzard-iq-binding-on-a-non-iq-ski#post_1137473

This is what we all (except the binding manufacturers) could use.

My good buddy has about 10 pairs of race skis, but just 3 Atomic bindings as all of the skis have the track. It makes it much more convenient for travel (more skis, fewer binding) and of course he has more $ to spend on wax and gear with fewer pairs of bindings to buy.

I like the idea of switching from alpine to tele to AT.
