Just bought my wax for this season.

Also finally purchased a decent ski vise -  it sure beats laying my skis over the trash can to hot wax and scrape, which I did all last season - at least the wax shavings dropped directly into the trash!

Some custom boot work for my wife and myself. New footbeds and some toe lifts for here. New footbeds and a forefoot punch for me. Maybe more on my boots once the new footbeds are posted.

Next up some wide skis for the wife.

Grabbed a pair of leftover Dynastar Big Troubles with PX 12's.  Wanted something I could ski everywhere and just have fun.  After skiing with Finndog last year and seeing that a man my age can ski on "newschool" stuff,  I almost got these graphics...

My teenage kid actually convinced me that I better stick with the more mild "Limited" graphics which are copies of another Dynastar I owned an loved years ago.

Maybe someday I'll buy something other than Dynastars,  but they never seem to let me down,  and I can usually find a bargain price for 'em.

Let it snow!

AM.

You definitely don't want to embarrass your teenage kid - it doesn't take much - although they don't seem to care much about embarrassing you - at least that's my experience.

I believe it is a parent's duty to embarrass their kid.  It makes them stronger people.  And since all parents embarrass their kids, you don't want them feeling like oddballs, do you?

There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad equipment.

Some Tyrolia 350R's to put on my vintage The Ski. The R's have brakes, my old 350D's just straps and they were dangerous. Now to torque test them to get them w/in some sort of safe skiing range. It is tough to decipher a 1-2-3-R DIN window.

Well, so far I picked up a pair of last years Line Prophet 90's and a pair of Lange Comp 120 FR boots. I was really looking for a pair of Mantras but the deal was just too good. Any trades out there? They are 172 in length and still in the shrink wrap. Anyway, look for the snow and go.
