Smith I/O in a sweet looking green rim/strap combo. Best goggles I have owned.

Our ski season here has 4-5 weeks max left so I'll be hunting around for a cheap end of season sale jacket/pants I spose as mine are getting ratty.

Oops... gear acquisition syndrome strikes again!

186cm Dynastar Big Trouble - that'll be my fat ski round these parts. Stupid blow-out deal at a cash'n'carry style store. They had one pair of BTs dumped in with loads of '08 and '09 Troublemakers - so I grabbed 'em. The downside is they came with Rossi Scratch Axium 100s! Great pairing - NOT! So I told them not to mount the bindings - I'll sell on the Axiums and either get my spare LD12s mounted or hold out for a P14 reissue .

I'm looking at the I/O's for my back up pair of goggles, to compliment my Turbo Fan Goggles.

As the story goes, Shane McConkey wanted to call them Fat Bastards, but Mike Myers owns the rights to that name, as it was the above pictured character he created for the Austin Powers movies, so they were dubbed simply Machete FB.

Fat Boy is part of the name of Atomic Powder Plus.

The Machete FB, while having the same footprint at the V2 Genesis Chubb, has a wood core instead of foam, and are MUCH stiffer. A big mountain destroyer of crud rather than a floppy powder ski. I wonder if I'll have the stones to ski them properly, they are significantly stiffer than anything else I have, including my Machete Hucksters.

ooohh, Volantaddict,

oddly i find fascination with your addiction .. my wifies first purchased pair were Volant Vertex SuperKarves .... and as it goes, busts the crud   and still loved (both ski and wife)

kids help one buy for a non selfish, Head Lite Thangs w/railflex for my 2nd daughter, for my dark side daughter was a entry level Silence snowboard and Burton Mink boots ... a reward for grades ... as she wishes a side activity to skiing.

for me, a preseason planning neccessity .... BEER ... Troutslayer, John's (grocery) White Ale - Amana brewery, Shinerbock, Guinness, Bass, Fat Tire, Becks ... oh heck, too many, but there's lots of planning!

I am too, but they ain't gonna be cheap. I want to put some on my new skis but it is hard to justify buying the new ones, when I have 4-5 pr of the old ones that are perfectly good.

Can you ever really have to many LOOK metal turntable bindings? Me thinks NOT

Besides, won't the new "release" have a wider brake option???

Yeah, I am putting these on an 84 waisted ski, I can bend the TT08c's brakes out a bit and they will be fine.

I got a pair of 08 177 Elan m888 off geartrade in primo condish, and moved the toe only back 1.5cms as recommended by dawgcatching and philpug...been lusting over these for some time, and hope I'm not disappointed...

Have to decide if this is better than the 174 Bliz 8.7 magnum I've been using for 2 seasons...then one will go away...
And wax and jacket and goggles and helmet and etc and etc....

Done and done...
