Snowmass recommendation

My daughter and I plan to do the clinic in Jan (first time for the clinic, first time at Snowmass).  Tentative agenda is to arrive at Eagle/Vail airport at 1140 AM Sat, rent car, drive to Snowmass, get edges sharpened and rentals for daughter Sat PM, ski Sun and join clinic Sun eve.  Looking for recommendation for edge work and rentals, and anything else that might be helpful.

Hi SteveE.  I think the best tuner around is Squatty, one of our coaches.  He does this as a sideline, as it keeps him off the streets at night!
I'll check with him and see if he's doing it again this year.  Otherwise, I'll give you the names of a couple of places.

Your plan is a good one.  Eagle/Vail is a good entry point.

Looking forward to your visit.  And I'll get back to you.

Weems
ESA coach.

Steve,  My family has been renting from Gene Taylors in the Snowmass mallfor over 7 years.  Very easy to get to, good service and several demo packages of quality ski equipment is available.  The shop does overnight work on wax/tune.  Pickup on your way out in the morn which is 100 yards from the meeting lifts.  Real easy and convenient.  If you and daughter are staying at the Wildwood,  Taylors is a very short walk down a flight of stairs in the mall.  If Squatty is offering tune-ups, take him up on it!  Don't let his looks fool ya, he really is a nice, trustworthy guy.....

I noticed you have a rental.  The public transit is very reliable in Aspen/ Snowmass, I've never had a need for a rental...take CME from Eagle, they'll drop ya off right at the door!.

Weems, Trekchick, and ragin cajun  -  Thanks for the info.  I'm standing by for the follow-ups.  RC - I was raised by frugal New England parents and I think (from the internet) CME would cost me $300 for two round trips and a car for two about half that and it provides some flexibility.  Thanks again, the plan is starting to come together.

Trekchick - thanks for the heads-up.  Is 100 Acre Wood really a place?

If you're familiar with Pooh Lore, it is.
I changed my avatar to Tigger, and my location to 100 Acre Wood after skiing with friends the day before Big Sky ESA.  There was some humour used when a friend explained how to be lighter on my skis in the deep snow.....
Be Like Tigger, Bouncy Trouncy, Flouncy, Fun fun fun fun fun.....
T I double Guh ER!
I should change it back to my actual location.

Must be one of three things on my part.  Lack of reading, lack of TV, or generation gap.  Anyway, thanks for your help.  Steve

Can't be a generation gap, because everyone knows that TC is young yet ageless.

I think of myself as generation-gapless but my daughters keep reminding me that it is not true.
