There's a rumor around Albany that Hickory Hill will reopen this year.  Does anyone know anything about that?
Maybe I'll try to get the ski valet concession.

 I heard this too. This is one of the coolest areas I have ever skied. Want to talk "rustic"? Hickory makes Mad River Glen look like Stratton by comparison.

What have you heard? Around here the rumor is that the ski patrol is reorganizing.  That makes me think that people really believe it will happen.

There was an article in the Post Star(Glens Falls region newspaper) a couple of months ago about this.  I searched their website and could not find it.  Some guy from Texas with local connections bought it and rehired several staffers. 

I'm really looking forward to it reopening!

I emailed the NSP region director for that region, Eastern NY, and he confirmed the area is planning to reopen and is actively looking for patrollers.
