How do I lessen the canting on my boots... Im 1,5deg canted and that seems to be too much.

I bought those white plastic canting plates that you attache to your boots with screws and then you plane the top off the toe and heel parts back to level. I would now like to go back to 1deg. How do I do that? Or do I need to buy new boots?

if you have had canted lifters put on and the boots routed back to DIN then you will need a thicker plate or the toe and heel lugs will not be the correct size, depending on the size of the plates you have had installed (i am guessing they are Harb plates) then you may be able to remove them, have the boots planed to the correct angle and then have a flat lifter plate installed and the boot routed back to norms, it is a bit of a long way round but when the boot has been cut you need to get it back to the correct dimensions, the only issue is if the plates are really thick, if so you may struggle to get a thick lifter plate to give you enough build up

go see your local fitter who can offer cant services

Thanks for your input CEM. Yes, my plates are the arb plates and the lugs are routed to din. Im currently using a pair of 3y old Doberman 130 Pro. I like the fact that I can easily put them on and take them off even if its cold and they fit with just some minor streching of the shell but other than that the linear is kind of crappy and the boot itself is very soft. My old 2003 Beast model is much stiffer with the black plastic in front. Im now wondering if I should buy new boots for proper GS racing and have them canted less and keep the ones I have for club racing or soft surface. My current boots with 1,5deg canting is too much for me to handle on a properly prepared GS racing course. It sounds like too much hazzle to have them de-canted. I see that you in your avtar have a pair of Head Raptors. I wonder if they would fit me. Or any other Head racing odel. My foot is big, size 29 but not that wide. Still cannot fit my foot into anything less than a 29. I can get Head with good ski school disscount but I have to order without trying.

i would say that the raptor RS is as close as you will get to the dobermann pro as you could get without actually buying a dobermann pro, the RD is their equivilent to the dobermann world cup

as for changing the cant, have you tryed just using some duct tape under the binding to do a temp trial to make sure that reducing the cant angle makes things better
