I have a 13 yr old who needs to get a bigger set of skis.  He is an intermediate who mainly stays on piste.  Thanks in advance.

You might want to tell folks where you live.  Skis in this range are often not worth shipping.

I also have a pair of Atomic crossover sx8 all mountain skis with Markers in 150cm. asking $50.

Depending on how stiff of a ski you are looking for and how much you're willing to pay for shipping, I have some Volkl R1 Unlimiteds with a Marker rental binding that might work. Where are you?

Can you tell us more about your kid like his weight and height? How about how much he skis and where?

He is an intermediate skier and is 5'0" tall and weighs about 100 lbs.  We live in St. Joe, MI and generally ski in Michigan.  Though we always do at least one trip out West.  This year we are going to Heavenly.

Also I just found a pair of new Head Supershapes (144 cm) with bindings for around $140.  They are going on sale at our local ski hills swap meet.  Is that a good deal?

Thanks for all the advice.

Sounds like a decent deal for a ski that he can grow into for a little while. Since you're looking at a swap, just make sure that the binding is suitable for his size and his skills. I would guessimate his setting to be 4 to 5. So, a binding of 9 or 10 max DIN would be perfect for him. 7 is ok but if you're trying to squeeze another year out of the skis, it's not very likely to happen. Also, double check to see if the bindings are installed correctly for his size boots. It's no longer a bargain if you have to pay another $50 to $70 for a remount.
