1. What length of ski do you ski on?
2. What type of skiing is it made for? ( Pow, groomers ice ect)
3. Is it a twin tip
4. Is the length of the ski the ski-able length or is it the tip to tail length.
Thanks :)

170 #s (up from 140 in my youth)
Level 8+ but waning
1. Skied on 195s and 190s until 2006. Now rocking 179-186 cept on retro days. I'd use a 190 if I had one I still liked.
2. I ski mostly on carvers and race skis around 70mm waist or thinner. Mid fats or bump skis when conditions apply.
3. Some are twins, but I only go switch when watching my 6 year old from below.
4. Both, I have one pair of labeled 179s that is shorter than my 175s. The rest appear to be tip to tail.

1) The length that I ski on for "freeskiing" is a 175 (Volkl Tigershark). But that is for "freeskiing". I commonly take my 202 Nordica SG skis and late 187 Volkl Racetiger GS skis out for free runs (202s on dead days), and used my late 165 Volkl Racetiger SL's for ripping on steep and icy groomers, and for dicking around underneath lifts at Loon. I rarely bust out my 216 Nordicas when I'm off the course, even though I have a handful of times at Crotched Mountain when the place was completely diserted (Moonwalk-Milkyway-UFO-Equinox-Pluto's-Shooting Star, my technical DH playground).
2) The Tigershark is "made" for everything, but I primarily use it when there is fresh pow (up to 4 or 5 inches), crud, hardpack, and courdory. I rarely take them off piste.
3) Non twin.
4) Full length of the ski.
So I heard you like Mudkips...
