My first paddle in Trylon/ABS boats

Half a thumb up.

The soft-chine hull  felt quicker edge to edge than the PE equivalent, but not particularly faster.

Didn't notice a particular difference with the hard chine hull,  imagine the benefit would be mostly from weather resistance (i.e. doesn't develop a mystery left turn from being left out in the sun).

I think anything with softer lines will take slightly more time to come around.  Weathering would be a nice benefit....just from a less-than-full-time OC-1er;-)...
*When dealing with the density of water, I just don't see, nor did I ever see, the frantic rush to the lightest material anyways...

Ah.  I see I wasn't clear.   They had  PE boats and  Trylon boats with the same shape (four boats total).   The soft chine-Trylon one was faster edge to edge than the soft-chine PE one.     There was really no perceptible difference between the hard-chine boats (PE and Trylon)  in edging.
