Another Ski Sizing Thread

Hey Guys,

I am in the market for a new pair of skis but unfortunately I'm having a dilemma in determining what ski size would be perfect for me.  I'm 6'0-1", 170 lbs, advanced skier, northeast.  I've been looking at the Nordica Dobermann SL Pro- 2008-2009 series and I already demo'ed them at 170 cm and they felt very comfortable, but I was wondering if they are just a little too small, and if I should go with a 175-178 cm size.  I'm 16 going on 17, not growing much anymore and certainly not my last pair of skis.

Oh, and this demo pair that I demo'ed is on sale, half price (from around $1300), like new- just a couple laminate-top layer dings.

Thanks for your input,

Greg

If it's a slalom ski, then 170 is plenty long enough.  If anything, it is too long.

If you want to use it as something other than making SL turns, then you may want longer, but you also want a different type of ski.
