Powder skis for the South East?

I have a couple awesome powder days in the mid-A most seasons, in fact last year, one of my best powder days *east or west* was in WV.  Last season was the first time I busted out my wider skis (94mm and up) locally, and it was a blast.  I will definitely do it again whenever the opportunity arises -- it made the skiing so much better.

I like the Fischer Watea 94 for powder, and the Head Mojo 94 for a little bit of everything (they are also amazing in soft spring snow).

I have yet to break out my wider (115mm) skis locally, but may give it a try if we get a good dump.  But really, I think 85-95mm is probably the sane width to go with.

Prophet 90.  I just got off the slope a couple hours ago after skiing the last 3 days in 8-15" of powder.  My Prophet 90's in 179 length did awesome.  These are my only pair of skis and I love them.  I can out ski a lot of people at my local hill on the hardest groomers, and iv been killing it in the pow the last few days.  These skis are all anyone would ever really need for east coast powder days, but we always want more.  That's why I'm really considering a 100-105mm rockered ski for the fresh days, maybe I'm lazy but I really think a wider ski will allow me to ski longer more consecutive days with a lot less fatigue.  But for the average, less greedy skier, the prophet 90 I think is just right, when the pow gets chopped they slice threw perfectly, and they give up next to nothing on hard pack.  I don't understand why people like skinny skis so much in deep snow, for me personallly it just seems like way more work, and who wants to work harder then they have to.

Just got home.

Been skiing my 2010 Fischer Heat 76's. 12/17 started in North Carolina.
Sugar, Beech, up to Snowshoe, Timberline, then Wisp.
10 inches to a real 24 inches. My best time ever in the Apps.

I guess I must eat some CROW saying that 70's being enough ski in the south.
With a dump like we just had, you were right, bigger may be better.

I had  192 cm 999's (99 waist) at Beech last weekend.  I didn't really think I'd ue then anytime soon when I snagged them,  I didn't see anything else over 85 out there.  I think this dump was a fluke, but I hope I'm wrong.  I must admit it really was easier physically than ever.  After the ice today it looks like the 60's are back in for the foreseable future
I'd rather be skiing

I did get to demo some 2010 Progressor 7 and Progressor 8 from some girls I met at Wisp.
Man, they were tearing the place up. I could not keep up with them. We three swapped skis
all day.

I think the size was right, 150cm. I am a male, 5'1" and 135 lbs.

On the packed out snow at Wisp I thought I liked the 7 better than the 8. Maybe because I
am not a speed freak. It was just easier to ski with my style. Both girls said I should get
the Progressor 8 for sure, that after a few days on it I would like it better.

I know I can't get these anywhere around Atlanta so I am ordering online.
