At your weight you will do fine with PX12 in Looks (I believe Griffons also are 12-DIN bindings). All my skis are mounted with LOOKs, and they have been working for me just fine. Griffins seem to be the "faddish" binding of the moment, but that does not mean that they are superior in any way. The "made for wide skis" claim is BS, as apparently the screw mounting pattern is not wider than Look's or any other binding to that matter. I would choose what you can get for cheap and not believe the hype.
P.S. Sorry, TC.

No apologies necessary. I was just giving Rossi Smash some grief.
FWIW, while I have a set of Griffons for my Kikus, I would not hesitate to put the Looks on them if I didn't happen to have Griffons on hand.
In fact, I think I have a set of PX15's in the attic, new in the box. I'll check.

I would steer away from the schizo unless you were extremely unsure about mounting point.

In the thread about mounting a Goat with a strange tail(Kiku) there was some discussion, which caused me to check into the Schizo. A few people that I hold in very high regard have seen this binding, and played with it a bit. From what I gather, if you know where you want to mount your binding, you're better off getting something conventional, and the schizo is not quite all that its cracked up to be in the quality department...at least not up to the grade of the Jester, Griffon, Duke reputation.
It looks a bit gimicky to me.
Life is skiing, I'll look for the binding when I get home tonight. If its there I'll let you know the details and as always, everything's for sale.
Anyone in the market for a used dirtbike. I'm willing to clean my husband's toy garage out too.
Shhhhh, don't tell him!

+1 The Jester or Griffon Schizo is a great option.
The mounting point on a ski like the 2010 Gotama is a very sensitive parameter due to the continious curve full rocker design. With the schizo you can really dial in your binding mount to take max advantage of the ski's early rise tip/ rockered tail design.
No need to guess, mount to the Schizo line and play with the choices.

From what I've heard about the new Schizo line of Marker's is that they're just glorified demo bindings. Unless there's some sort of change in construction material (less plastic?) or din's or if you're not sure about your mounting point like epic said... what's the point? Swapping sticks with your buddy for the day would be fun but I own my skis for a reason: they're the best.
The bindings I have are Rossi Axial2 150's wide, PM if interested in buying them.
As for the schizo, its not a glorified demo binding. If you look at the link in my above post there are two links to demos of that binding. It is a binding that moves fore/aft, but is not designed to be adjusted easily for BSL like a demo binding(though I believe it has a decent range of BSL adjustment)

I have the griffons and i love them. they are lighter than the jesters and just as good. Since your 165 lbs you will be fine. They are rated for 220lbs or so and im 200 wet and they are great
To ski or not to ski is not the question.
