It SNOWING in Tahoe !

That's right my friends, as each day gows longer and hotter; Ullr has decided to drop a snow bomb right on top of Tahoe: http://www.weather.com/weather/local/96150?from=recentsearch

Now, the weather channel is predicting snowfall totals of an inch and I say they're WRONG !

I wouldn't be suprised if squaw gets over 6 inches at 8200 feet as it's been snowing all morning and the squaw road cam: http://video.dot.ca.gov/ - looks like February at 10am.

This season ain't over yet ! Can you hear me Heavenly and Homewood !

Turn the lifts back on ! Turn the lifts back on !

MUST RESIST...MUST RESIST...  I closed the season last Sunday, so no dice for me...  But these "summer dumps" are becoming more common in Tahoe (as common as snow-less Decembers), so the weather pattern is shifting to later snowfalls.

Can't go this week-end.  But, we will at Squaw the next 2 week-ends. Hopefully we can get some shorts and t-shirt skiing in!

On the plus side. There is a decent waist to chest SW swell in town! Will be in the water in about an hour!

All friday morning 9-12 it was fresh tracks ankle-calf deep at Sugarbowl.

No one on the mountain so even at noon, I got a few runs of untracked pow..

That's it for Sugarbowl. They closed this week.

On Sat at Squaw fresh tracks could be found easily till the end of the day. It got a bit heavy by the end of the day, but, hey, it is end of April. Surprizingly it did not freeze over night and on Sun morning the crud was still very ski-able. And Sun afternoon is right back to spring skiing....
