Cool race picture

One of the boys on our cycling team's mom is an amateur  photographer.  She takes pictures at all of the races and made this one of my daughter into a poster for one of the girls on the team to give to my daughter for her birthday the other day.  I thought it was pretty cool and worth sharing.

Yeah, very cool.  Your daughter will probably display it for many years.

She may have a business started there, I would much rather pay for that kind of race photo than the standard!  That's awesome.  How is Little Ms. Roadrash anyhow?

She's doing great thanks.  She had a bad wreck a few weeks ago and I had to ride in the ambulance with her to the emergency room (I don't ever want to have to do that again), but she was fine.  Back on her bike the next day and riding a century that Saturday.

Their racing season is in full force.  She has four races this weekend, a junior and cat 3/4 on both Saturday and Sunday.  A few weekends ago she finished 4th and her teammate finished 2nd in a Cat 4 women's race and they won $70 and $100 respectively.  You could hear them screaming halfway across town when they found out they had actually won some money.

Well, you had to know with a habit like this of hers she and you would end up in an ambulance at some point, right?  Glad to hear there were no long term ill effects from the crash.  And how awesome that they won some cash!  In a women's race, not junior?  That's so incredible, she's my hero!

She raced in Athens and Roswell (two big races on the national schedule for the domestic pros) this weekend.  She raced both Juniors and Cat 3/4 women both days.  Her job in both of the Junior races was basically to block and chase breaks so our two stud boys could win (they did).  In both of the women's races she finished with the front pack in the field sprint.  She was 21 our of about 40 women in Athens and 13 out of a similarly sized field in Roswell.  Her average speed in Roswell was 24 MPH which is an age group record for her club.
