It be dumping in Breck ! BIG TIME !

Too bad it's the last week of the breck season. Lotta snow that will be unskied and will turn out to be nothing better than an ingredient in a Coors light beer. Such a sad existence awaits the flakes coming down today.

Yup, because once the lifts close it's impossible to ski.

i don't know about that. someone living in the flat, zero altitude Texas would probably have a heart attack walking up a mountain, and i'm in good shape.

seriously though, i know its a liability thing, but you'd think a decent sized mountain could run at 25% open until it gets slushy if the national parks assoc. would slacken some more on their restrictions.

Walking/hiking for the turns is easier than turning in two feet of HEAVY HEAVY snow

There's one area where fat skis probably are appreciated by even the most die hard old skool straight ski die hards.  Is really heavy deep snow a lot easier to manage on fat boards?  I would think so.

I did my best to squash them today.

By 4:30, I'd say the GROOMERS had a foot of powder!

The best ski day of my short life (so far)!!!!!
