Anyone looking for a great deal on a Brand New Spyder Jacket & Pants?

Just ran into these on eBay...looks like a great deal.

Recently bought myself some new gear or I'd be all over this.

Wanted to pass it along.

Beware, most Spyder gear on eBay is fake.

So you just happened to bump into these "deals" though you are not looking for new gear and then decided to just register on this site to let everyone know about them.  I see...

I checked out the links, and they seller is also selling a Porsche 993 (see username) so I have a feeling this is just a real clumsy effort of promoting his own auction.  Might be fakes, might be real.

Sorry guys...didn't mean to come across as promoting anything nor would I post anything that I thought was of a bogus nature.

Understand your concerns though and will be more careful in my future posts.

As was already pointed out above, a lot, if not most of the brand name stuff such as Spyder on ebay are fakes. Complete with tags & sometimes closeup photos.. but still fakes. They look pretty good at a glance, but they are not genuine & usually have inferior materials and/or construction.

Ebay is good for a lot of stuff, but I wouldn't buy ski jackets there. If you're still skeptical check out the link below where some people are buying knockoffs out of China for $20 - $80 & then flogging them on ebay.

Agreed.  If this is the case OP, just own up and apologize for the attempt at deception.  Unless you had no intent of actually sticking around, then just go away.

No deception intended...sorry if that was the indication at first glance.

I'm an avid skier and have been poking around without posting for a while.

That being said...I found out about these pieces from a car forum that I'm on and while it is not of consequence, I highly doubt that these items are fake. 

Regardless...I've heard what you've said and will be more careful in my posts.

OP.. it's pretty hard to know for sure if the ebay items are real or genuine. A few of us made the point that there are a lot of fakes on ebay & with that warning anyone who is looking for a jacket can decide for themselves if they still want to bid or not.

Same thing with your intentions. Since it was your first post, a lot of people are going to be skeptical for the moment. But if your future posts are not related to this one, I'd think that about 99.9% of people aren't going to know/remember or care about this particular thread, so don't sweat it. Welcome to Epic. I had a friend bring me back a 'Fake Syper Jacket" from China. I've worn it, and am extremely happy with it.  Its warm, the fabric didn't stain when the lifts dripped on it. Wiped right off.

China is the textile capital of the universe and everything is made there using the most sophisticated production equipment and prices are very low. Plus everything is pirated in China.

If you can get the jacket and the pants cheap , if you end up with what I received, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
