I must be the only one who skis the Blizzard Titan Cronus?

No kidding. I got these beauties last year. Have skied them a second season in my home state (Maine) and have never seen another pair. OK, we don't get around much. But just came back from six days at Vail and five in Park City. Again, no one with the white boards with festering green glow. In fact, only saw one other pair of Blizzards during those eleven days out west.

These skis are the best ever. Light, fun, solid. Even at 88mm in the waist I use them on hard at home and for the light stuff out west they shine. Have a pair of Elan Ripsticks and 666's as well as a pair of Volkl Superstar 6's. But the Blizz's are the ones I always reach for. Did I get the only pair in the US of A?

Great to read this post.  I just got a pair last night.  Should arrive next week.  I'm stoked.

I don't think mine will be white for too awful long =)

My dog loves the bumps too.

You are in for big fun. They are so easy to live with it is almost wrong. Very wrong. Let me know how you like them. That makes two of us....

I like Blizzards Magnum series, not a fan of these at all, just don't like the way they ski.  I prefer the 8.7 way over the Cronos.

I took a couple of laps on each, a year apart.  I liked them both... the 8.7s were too short...  I think I'll like the Cronus.

I like them in the 174, but you are taller than me.

I've only got one full day on my 8.7's but I like what I had under me on that day

I'll be very interested in how they deal with spring corn compared to the K2 Extreme's on the same soft surface.

Yeah, not many skis give me that 'too short' feeling.... I'd say the 8.7 felt determined where the Cronus felt willing.

My dog loves the bumps too.

My wife loves her Eos's (Cronos L) and I know, if Blizzard made a woman's version of the 8.7, it wouldn't be her cup of java.

I'm a lighter guy who really likes the Cronus and the 8.7; go figure.

I am sorry, but you have to choose.

No, the OP is not the only guy that has bought Blizzis (one of the chosen few perhaps??......)

We carry the 8.7, Cronus, Argos and Answer and I ski on all of them pretty regularly. Within the seperate niches for each, they all are among the best skis available. BUT!!....nobody knows this yet. It takes time for a brand to build and conversely it takes time for a brand to fall. Various factor can cause each phenomenon.

Re the Cronus vs. 8.7 thing, I really like both skis they are just different. The 8.7 is a wide carver. It's better than some similar skis at soft snow, but it's definitely a hard snow biased ski. OTH, the Cronus is a soft snow biased ski. Among it's peers, it does better than many on hard stuff but again, it shines in the soft. The choice is about priorities.

BTW.......The Cronus is very different between the 173 and the 180 with the 180 being a stiffer ski by quite a bit. I like the Mag in 174 but the Cronus in 180. IMO the Cronus is every bit as good of a Western everyday skis as the Watea 84/94 or the Mythic Rider (although it's certainly different than those others)

SierraJim, a shoppe in Park City said he said he tried next year's Bliz Atlas (93mm?) and that it was  one amazing ski, no matter the terrain. I've heard that song before. But he has his pick of them. Anything to add?

I'd agree that it's an amazing ski. Thing is, there are a lot of amazing skis. Whether the Atlas is anyone's epihpany sort of depends upon the question one is asking. If you were to put the Atlas in context with the Mantra, Hellcat, etc. (giant carver) type of ski, then I'd say YO!!!....best of the batch. Placed into other contexts, I'd say maybeso yes....maybeso no. In a few weeks, I'll probably trade in my Argos for an Atlas so I can get a better long term feel in varying conditions.

SJ, do share (I know you will) when you have a real feel for them.

I feel chosen.....   I saw a few happy Blizzard owners walking out of Start Haus in Truckee.  Fell in love with my Agros over the last two weeks, thanks Jim for the sharing the Coolaide.

Add me to the ranks of very happy Blizzard owners.  I have a pair of SuperSonics as my everyday frontside carver and a pair of Titam Cronus for Soft/Slush/Crud days and I have been thrilled.  Both skis are very versatile, extremely forgiving and both are quite manageable in bumps.

I ski predominently in Maine so I don't think I need anything wider than the Cronus...at least not yet.

Momentum is a terrible thing to waste.
