One Cliff POV TR - Kirkwood, 3-5-09

Just a quick POV edit of one the most sessioned powder day cliffs at Kirkwood, "Kodak":

I'm just curious where the cliffs in this post (and your other ones) are.  I finally skied at Kirkwood, and I was looking around trying to figure it out, but couldn't really.  Can you see them from the chairs?

It's not that big. 25 - 30 feet at the max.  Probably closer to just 25 with this snow level.  It "skis" higher than it actually is because of the relatively blind take off and the flat landing.

This one is at the bottom of the Cirque.  It's visible while riding Chair 2 and looking to your right into the Cirque.

Out of curiosity, what kind of poles/pole straps are those that I keep seeing in the videos (the one you use)?

Thanks Nobody.

The poles are standard Scott Team Issue poles in last year's colors.  I didn't think i'd like those belt straps at first, but once you get the length of the strap loops dialed, and the leather softens up and breaks in after a few uses, they're money.
