Going to Sugar Bowl next weekend and hoping to test the waters of the intermediate terrain.  So far been doing just greens.

Suggestions?

I've skied there about 15 times in the last couple seasons and I am definitely an intermediate trying to work my way up but stay mostly on blues and easier blacks. (Well last trips doing more blacks after a helpful lesson from Bud Heisman)

I park on the Mt. Judah side as its easier access.

TrailBlazer which is the run to the left when you get off of the Jerome Express lift is a great cruising blue run and the easiest of the blues on the Judah Mountain.

To add a little more difficulty, go to the right off of Jerome and then take the first or second chute (Broken Axle, Caleb's way) to the right that feeds into trailblazer.

Next most difficult blue is to go to the left (Buena Vista) off of Judah lift, most that run is the same to a little more difficult than Trailblazer except one steep portion for about 100 yds where Buena Vista merges into Tunnel 41 that I find a bit more challenging.

Haven't spent a lot of time on Lincoln, but skied it last time.  At the top if you go to the left (beautiful view), its a blue run but the first 300 yds are relatively steep (for a blue) a bit narrow and varied terrain.  You see a lot of beginners/intermediates staring down at the top or lying down half way down.  Take your time and its doable but definitely harder than trailblazer.  There is a an easier route down where you go to the right and traverse across to a cat track then then drops into a spot below the steepest part I just discussed, its marked on the trail map.

Never skied the blues to the right of the Disney lift.

How does the steepness in Trailblazer compare to that short-steep section where "christmas tree lane, and pioneer trail" greens come together near the mid-mt. lifts?

The steepest parts of Trailblazer as as steep as that.  Generally less steep than that.
