To the folks with fond memories of 1993, absolutely.

Otherwise, not really.

93? try 85. What bindings are on them?

Depending on the bindings and condition, I might be interested in them.

They ran from 84-87 IIRC.

I think 1987 was the first production year of the 4SK.  The final year was 1992.  The only change was the graphics.  Not too many skis have a 5 year production run.

Bought mine in '86, but I'm pretty sure they were leftovers. I was just out of school & highly I doubt I would have paid retail. They are the only skis I didn't sell. Still sitting in the basement.

I had (still have, actually) the 7GK, which my recollection suggests was contemporary with the 4SK. Purchased in 1990 or '91, I think.

I am fully aware that they aren't worth anything except as memorabilia or material for a ski chair or fence.

It was a big powder day at Bridger today and I saw a couple skiing a pair of 4Ss and a pair of K2 4400s.  As you can imagine, they headed down one of the few runs that was groomed.

Not only did they have a long run BUT they sold over one million pairs worldwide

I still ski mine a couple times a year....just 'cause

Q: What is the only ski in history to sell more pairs than the Rossi 4SK?

A: The Salomon X-scream.

They made a "replica 4S" a couple of seasons back. I wouldn't mind piking up a pair of them.

I think they just went to Europe (and Japan). They also made one with an early 1900's wooden graphic.

No, but I'm still drooling  over those 4SM's you got in the picture. I'd kill for those. Do you have any idea what the canadians I ski with at Holiday would do if I would show up on the bumps of the Chute? There'd be yellow snow all over the place.

I have a pair of 195's new with marker M46 bindings. Let me know if anyone would like to add them to their vintage collection.

The yellow X-scream? The Nine? Hmmmm. I really wish there were solid numbers accessible on actual ski sales & production numbers.

I've got a pair I'll sell to ya for shipping. Pluses: they're already mounted with a sweet pair of Marker 14 or 15 DIN binders. Minuses: huge sections of base and edge are missing.

Oh yeah - 4S's came out in 1985 (they were white). I bought a pair of 86's (first year they were the beautiful teal color).
