Top 6 Mountain Resorts: Alberta

You know what,

I just watched all 6 of the featured resort videos on SkiCanadianRockies.com (In the 6 Mountain Resorts Section). They are well done videos, and I learned the following about each mountain:

Sunshine Village: The chairlift accessible terrain is basically premium backcountry here.

Lake Louise: Is just as good as Sunshine, only with less crowds

Castle Mountain: Has tons of steep terrain, low crowds and is favored by the hardcore locals.

Marmot Basin: Gets super dry deep powder, with 'Heli Skiing' style terrain.

Nakiska: Is a total family mountain

Mt. Norquay: Is the oldest resort in Alberta, with a very old school vibe.

Just thought I would share this with everyone while the snow is still fresh.

Thanks,

Andrew

The gated areas (Delirium, Wild West, Silver City) are very good as well as a few other selected areas, overall it is flat. Premium?

Lake Louise: Is just as good as Sunshine, only with less crowds

Better in bounds/no avy gear required terrain but also snows about 3 times a year. Frontside is very crowded on busy days.

Marmot Basin: Gets super dry deep powder, with 'Heli Skiing' style terrain.

Snows twice a year. Heli skiing? Haha.
