I think that one is Italian made.

It's funny that it only says TdF '86 he had already won '89 when he joined Z.

Good call.

The FD is kinda ugly though, I'd swop it for a tricolor-logo 600.

Now on Mondays.

Agreed on the FD. Fugly. Not digging the headset either, but really, who cares? It'll do.

If you ask me, it need some Campy Delta brakes. Well really a full Record group.

What it needs the most is just to be ridden.

Don't bother at all unless you ride into a lot of cold headwind solo.   Honestly, even then I'd far rather use their clip-on underbar rakers.

Can you post geometry measurements?

Do you have 175mm cranks on any other bike?

I don't have the measurements handy, but I can post them tomorrow, when I'm more awake...
What I can tell you off hand is that its a 54 cm frame.
There were 5 levels of the Zed scheme frame made.  This particular one is a level 3.

The cranks on the other bikes are 175 IIRC...

I'm hoping to get out on it tomorrow after work, if the next rain holds off.

Campagnolo debunked the rumor today: they're not selling.

As for me, I'm a big-time Campy fan: love their stuff.  As the adage goes: Shimano breaks down, Campy breaks in.

Actually, I also run two bikes with Shimano (one road, one ATB), so I'm not that biased.  I've also spent a great deal of time with the SRAM DoubleTap stuff, and that's good stuff, too.  But I do prefer the Campy stuff, given the choice.

Regarding the LeMond: the Dean stem is an interesting choice.  It's not true to the original vibe (not enough of a forged quill look), but it's a really trick stem.

Two things I'll be changing for personal fit and comfort will be the stem and saddle.
Not sure why the DEAN stem was the choice of the builder but I'm not married to it.

MrTC is not thrilled with my purchase of this bike, but he hasn't said a whole lot since I haven't pointed out the garage full of dirt bikes, four wheelers, snowmobiles and street bikes......I'm such a nice wife.

The cranks are actually Topline road cranks.  I once owned a pair when I was a gram counter.  Be careful and examine them often for cracks as they were not known for durability.

The way I heard it back in the Nuovo Record/Super Record days was that "they were so well built they will continue to shift poorly for decades to come".

I adjusted the seat and handle bars tonight and got in a nice ride after work.  I really think I'm going to love this bike!
After the ride I did some quick measurements, but it was getting dark and the mosquitos were biting so please forgive me if I say that they may be cm-ish, ....
54 cm seat tube
55 cm top tube
61 cm down tube
14 cm head tube
38 cm fork
51 cm seat stays
41 cm chain stay
Hub to hub 99 cm

Oh and on the crank debate, I agree with epic and comprex that it appears to be a Cooks bros, but IIRC the builder of this bike mentioned taking the ultegra crank off his cannondale to put on this, but I'm not very knowledgeable about vintage bikes so I'm not sure.  How would I tell?

Compare your crank with the Cook Bros. spiders.  Then compare with the link I provided for the Topline cranks (be sure to scroll to the bottom captioned "Topline Road Crank Arm Set").  Cook Bros. have always clearly labeled their name on the arms.  Yes, even the pictured E-crank which does not appear so, but on production models came labeled.

Yep. Topline. Good thing you don't weigh much. Inspect for cracks then ride.

the most ardent roadies are just bad bike handlers or big lungs big legs no athleticism. Anyone who doesnt enjoy MTBing just cant hang.

you think that bike is cool you should see Travis Browns leadville bike. One of the pace pusher with Matt Shriver from leadville.
