Thinking of Big Sky ESA? Check this out!!!

Dan Egan of Egan Entertainment has produced a video to tell everyone about ESA Big Sky, which was shot at last year's ESA at Big Sky. May I present,

Let us know what you think of the video, the content, the skiing...Man, it was EPIC at Big Sky last year. How about this year?--Let's make it so.

Wow!

I love the quality on the video.  It's so much better than most everything I see on YouTube, etc., that there's just no comparison.

Is this quality a function of Vimeo or the way the footage was shot or edited or all of the above? 

This makes me want to go out and learn how to post vidoes.  Most of the ones I've watched before are so fuzzy it's almost a waste of time to watch.

Agree that the video quality looks great for this type of platform, way better than YouTube.

Looks great! I like the voice over by Weems. 

I guess in terms of the Academy, it might be nice to see some skiing by people other than coaches. Or maybe not...! Or perhaps some on snow activities of the groups/students? Maybe some "interviews" with students - although that can be difficult and possibly cheesy.

I mean it's not a demonstration event!

Maybe what it needs is some sort of connection from the philosophy expressed to the student groups.

That's exactly what you want from a 3 minute blurb. The section(s) of Weems' talk that were used were just right. Great production too.

I thought it did a great job promoing some very good skiing, along with the mountain, as well as highlighting the instructional aspect through weem's presentation. Great job on all 3 aspects, imo.

I have to say it made want to ski as well as ANY of the people in the video.  Too bad I lack funds and am recovering from a broken knee cap this year.

I want to see the footage of Ursula from Friday post esa.  It was a major crash but she was ok. Perhaps it should be private though!

In other news, should we have an esa at Taos?  The years are piling up, it would be amazing to put an esa on at the St. Bernard while Jean and company are still going strong!  What better place than the St. Bernard anyway?  We could do interviews, make videos,  and wikis (  bleh ).

Tog, yes on St. Bernard.  Stayed there for a week about 20 yrs ago with wife.  Our most memorable ski vacation.  Memories are cool.
