I agree that a time limit would be a good thing.

I have had the occasion to want a title changed in the past, and have needed to contact a mod to get it done.
It will be nice to be able to do it myself.

We can change thread titles? If true I agree it's bad. Why should people be allowed to change thread titles? Makes no sense. I tried to change Bonni's and ended up just tagging it with something ridiculous.

Changing the title should last as long as the edit.
It is really tough on the database for title changes after a while.
If a tittle change is needed, a moderator should be contacted to do this.
I changed the title on this the second day, and look at the HITS this thread took! I did it to make a point.
It would be really crappy to take a good thread and change the title so people couldn't find it. Even with good intentions, it's just wrong.
