A way to protect your bikes on the roof rack?

At the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in SLC this weekend, I noticed this new invention and thought it was pretty cool.



You mount it to your rack and it warns you if you're about to slam your bikes into the garage door or the awning at the drive-through.

I posted a write up here if anyone wants more info.

I didn't see it tested but it seems like a cool concept.

Do you know if the distance can be adjusted? Some of the roof box guys may be interested.

The mother of one of the girls in our club has done this twice in two weeks, shattering one carbon frame. I'll have to get one of these for her, especially since I let her borrow my spare bike
