07/08 vs 08/09 Nordica Hot Rod op Fuel - Same Ski?

Hey -

Just demo'ed a pair f Nordica Hot Rod Top Fuels at 170. WOW. Got to own these sticks.

I see last year's version on the net at a substantial savings to the price for the current version.

Hmmmm. Obviously the cosmetics are different but underneath is it the exact same ski???

I have kept hearing/reading that HRTF stayed the same, and just the graphics kept changing (several times). It's a nice ski too! I demoed and loved them and then when I bought a set I hated them because the factory tune was wicked hooky (little to no bottom edge bevel). The demo guys seem to keep them at 1 bottom edge and 2 side edge bevel, and it's good to ask how they tune them when you demo them so you'll know what to do when you get yours. There's also a two position/scale thing with the bindings, so just make sure the center mark on your boots ends up directly over the center mark on the skis. Once I got them tuned right and the binding thing figured out they were just as enjoyable as the demo. Have Fun!

mind if i ask where you purchased? been looking for Noridicas (afterburner) and found some good deals online but wouldn't mind finding a "better" deal.

Sierraski.com a month or so ago but it looks to me like O2gearshop.com might be a better price now if they have what you want.
