What's for lunch today?

What did you have for lunch today?

This can include things you fix yourself or places where you eat out, as long as it was good. If it's a restaurant and tasty, please identify the locale so we can follow up. Ski lunches count extra.

I'll start out. I fixed myself two cheesesteak sandwiches with green and red peppers, onions and cabot vermont cheddar lightly seasoned with oregano on maui onion rolls chased by a Snake Dog IPA.

I love cheesesteaks!

mmmmm, chocolate chip cookie...there's a chocolate factory around the corner from my work here in SoHo, NYC...I just may have to go get one!

Our gas is shut off while the landlord updates to a modern (and legal) gas meter, so I've started learning all about cooking in the microwave. Last night I made some spaghetti and ground turkey casserole and I'm eating the leftovers now. Not too shabby for some radiated morsels!
More Ovaltine, please!

Mmmm, today's lunch was an udon noodle bowl with chicken and chili garlic sauce at the Outpost Lodge at Keystone. Pleasant surprise and not a bad value at $10.50. They also have jasmine rice bowls.

We have the big bags around here, well... the medium I guess. Not personal sized, but not the "Party Pack" size. We get them at Whole Foods. Definitely one of the best spicy chips I've ever had!

Business lunch:

Cup of Mushroom Bisque with truffle oil and a "Cuban" Sandwich, with Ice Tea.

I love Cuban sandwiches but this was just put under the broiler, not pressed.

Good, but not really a "Cuban".

I am very fond of ramen noodles, they are especially versatile.

Today's lunch was homeade beef barley soup with a hot pastrami sandwich.

I love hot pastrami and the NYC area has the best !  It is one of the things that I have to have when I get home after a road trip.
