bootfitters in/near Boston, MA?

Can anyone recommend a place to get a new pair of boots from a good bootfitter near or in Boston? I see from the directory there's one out at Wachusett mountain, but it would be much more convenient for me to go to someplace in the city. As far as I know, we pretty much just have chain ski shops around here - Ski Market and the like.

I haven't personally used them, but I've heard good things about the Westwood Ski Stop. They're right near the southern I-93 / Rt. 128 junction, so not in Boston, but fairly close by.

+1 on SkiStop in Westwood. Make an appointment with Phil (the owner).

another vote for westwood ski stop. Had mine done there, id liners, custom footbeds and stance annalysis. the whole 9. Good experiance. They really took the time to fit me, no rush job like i've seen at other places.

thanks. I'll check them out. I live in Jamaica Plain, so that's actually not terribly far from my house - probably only 20 minutes or so.

so I went to Ski Stop today just to look at boots and see what the options were. I wound up walking out with a new pair of Lange Fluid 80's. Tried on a couple other brands as well, but Phil really helped narrow it down to find the right fit and was great about the whole process. Can't wait to try these out in a couple weeks...

Gonna bump this to ask if anyone knows a bootfitter in the metro Boston area who sells AT boots...  The SkiStop doesn't carry any, and I think I'm pretty set on getting some to replace my Magnesiums.  I haven't been anywhere to try some on yet, so have no idea what brand(s) I would be looking for, but any is better than none!  Is there anyone who can help me around here, or am I going to have to drive to NH or VT?

Try Mike at Mountain Dogs in Plaistow, NH.  Its about 40 minutes north of Boston.  Just off rt 495, (Exit 51 I think).

I've never heard of these guys, but it looks like a cool place.  I will definitely check them out.  (Plus, they are probably less than 1/2 hour from my house.)

Summit Ski & Snowboard in Framingham on Route 9. They'll fit you right. I own Head RD 96s and Nordica Doberman Aggressor 150s that I bought elsewhere. Plus, I like the tuning done by Mike DeSantis (Ski MD) adjacent to Summit.

AAAGGHH!!!! Having flashbacks from my childhood! I grew up less than a mile from Summit, just on the other side of Framingham State College. Ironically, I never really went there. I did most of my shopping up North in NH, or I went down the street to Ski Market (I'm not advocating going to 'Ski Markup' though... I was young and stupid at the time). Man, its a small world.

It's under new ownership since your days in the neighborhood. Very well managed today by knowledgeable, dedicated and friendly staff. Heck, Mike de Santis of SkiMD was World Cup Race Director for Volkl Skis.
