Hello!
I got RX8 this spring and there is one question which doesn't leave me...

Are all RX8 extremely slow on fresh wet snow? Air temperature just below freezing and it is snowing (perfect snow to make snowballs

)...
During turn my skis accelerate at least a bit, but between turns when skis lay flat it feels like someone stepped on my skis and I'm going to fall forward

.
Wax helps... But when it is worn off, no fun anymore...

Waxing a few times may help...this is what many racers do. I am not an expert at this and haven't skied the RX8, but you could look at the tuning & maintenance forum for some other suggestions.

Thank you...
Ski bases are similar, but not equal... My wife's Rossignols are fast even without wax.. So sometimes it looks funny when she is easy cruising down the hill, but I am doing my best to keep up with her

My friend's Heads doesn't like fresh artificial snow, but situation is not as bad as mine...
So I was wondering if this fault is common to RX8 FTI... If it is common, then I'll live with it... If not - then some maintenance to fix it

Only other thing I can think of is your CM; you slow a ski down by weighting the front. Any possibility you're used to a ski with a more forward sweet spot? My memory of the 8's is that they were fairly neutral, and although otherwise forgiving of technique were not happy if I got too far either forward or back.

Interesting... Bindings are in the middle (there are 3 positions)... Maybe my boot is placed a bit forward but its just by 1 mm... I will investigate this as soon as I'll get on snow.
