Adjust forward pressure on FKS 120

How do I know when the forward pressure is correct on Rossi FKS 120? I know what to turn but I don't know how to read when the setting is correct.

The very end of the thrust indicator (white wedge) should be between the pads (raised bumps) with the boot engaged. And make sure the arms are the same length.
