For all of you who are working with (or Are) Adaptive riders looking to get into competition, USASA (www.usasa.org) does encourage Adaptive participation in regional event and the National Championships.

We are currently working with the WSF to get Adaptive snowboarding included in the 2014 winter paralympics.

Adaptive Snowboarding

We haven't had a lot of adaptive snowboarders here at Attitash but I'm sure that the mountains event staff would be glad to have some at our freestyle events. I've been trying to get some monoskiers to do the Skiercross with me with no luck. If anyone is interested check out www.attitash.com/events.html for all our events.

USASA Modified their rules this season, at the request of the Adaptive subcomittee to require adaptive Athletes to compete in at least 2 regional events to qualify for Nationals.

We also introduces a rudimetary classification, dividing Adaptive into Visually impaired, Standing and Sitting athletes.

Chek it all out at www.usasa.org
